Free Thermographic Inspection
Thermographic Inspection refers to the nondestructive testing of parts, materials or systems through the imaging of the thermal patterns at the object’s surface.
Infrared Thermography is a nondestructive, nonintrusive, noncontact mapping of moisture patterns or “thermograms”, on the surface of objects through the use of an infrared detector. Compared with other classical nondestructive testing techniques such as ultrasonic testing or radiographic testing, thermographic inspection is safe, nonintrusive and noncontact, allowing the detection of moisture and shallow subsurface defects and in a fast manner.
Thermal imaging draws attention to the fact that a sequence of images is acquired making it possible to see the moisture as a picture. It is perfect for the detection of missing or compressed insulation, excess thermal building between walls and plates, moisture accumulation in building materials, heat loss through windows, leaks in water pipes, damaged HV AC ducts, air leakage and more. Thermal imaging also makes water saturated roof interior decking, insulation and leaks in slabs easily identifiable.
Infrared Thermography makes water saturated roof interior decking, insulation and leaks in slabs easily identifiable.
